2025
In April 2025, we had the incredible opportunity to shoot a cinematic campaign for Spartan Space, a visionary French startup redefining the future of human life in space. The location? None other than the LUNA facility at the European Space Agency (ESA) in Cologne, Germany — a rare and surreal environment designed to simulate lunar surfaces.
Summary
This campaign explores the interface between human innovation and extraterrestrial ambition. We blended science fiction aesthetics with real-world space engineering to position Spartan Space as a pioneer in lunar habitation technology. With a minimal, high-contrast visual approach and a stark, moon-like backdrop, the teaser film draws viewers into a bold, imagined future.
Challenge
Shooting in the high-security and technically complex ESA facility meant tight constraints on time, equipment, and access. Visually, we had to strike a careful balance: creating a futuristic tone without relying on heavy post-production or CGI, using only the raw power of the location, lighting, and composition.
Solutions
We leaned into practical lighting, dynamic blocking, and a clear narrative tone — pairing high-concept cinematography with grounded, documentary-real visuals. The final teaser distills Spartan’s mission into a poetic, emotionally resonant minute of storytelling, hinting at what humanity’s next frontier might look like.
